A lot of my clients find themselves with team members who are really good at doing the tasks within their role but they are not good at owning the bigger milestones or goals those tasks play into. This week’s episode 93 of Female Founders Breaking Boundaries is about what could happen when you enforce accountability!

Have you ever felt like you were WAY too busy, stressed out, burnt out, and overwhelmed, so you were advised to delegate some tasks to take things off your plate and free up some time? Except, maybe it didn't work. If getting out of the day-to-day in your business was as simple as hiring more people, then why are you still feeling overwhelmed and burned out? You are not alone! Sometimes, simply delegating tasks doesn’t work and instead shifts your workload from “doing” to “managing.”

I invite you to use the exercise that our own C-Suite clients use to take the first step in turning your team into a well-oiled, self-managed machine- and get you out of the delegation catch-22. Download the exercise here to get started!

Some of the things I cover in this episode are:

  • What it means to actually hold people accountable for the functions and processes within their role.
  • How to implement accountability into your business and how to avoid the growing pains that will inevitably come up when doing so.
  • What happens when accountability becomes a foundational part of your business.

Implementing accountability systems and then actually holding people accountable is not easy. It takes time. But when it happens, you’re able to move the needle closer to your goals.

Thanks for listening! Be sure to tune in to all the episodes to receive tons of tools, advice, resources, support, and encouragement that resonates with the modern businesswoman and to hear even more about the points outlined above.

Holding people accountable also means measuring outcomes and performance.
Giving your team members ownership over the outcomes of the tasks and responsibilities that are involved in managing the functions and processes associated with their role.
The first thing that can happen when you start holding people accountable is that they’ll step up.
How to you know if someone is not doing what they’re supposed to be doing.
If someone on your team isn’t the right person for the seat you’re looking to fill, get them off the team so you can continue to move forward.
